The Global Longevity Study
A landmark study that uncovers how people worldwide perceive their lifespan, prioritise their health, and navigate obstacles to achieving a longer, healthier life. This survey also reveals the longevity strategies they aspire to adopt.
Conducted by the Oxford Longevity Project and Roundglass, this landmark survey spans 25 markets across all global regions. Both organisations share a vision and mission to educate and empower people globally with science-based information and lifestyle habits that promote wellbeing and longevity.
OLP-Co-founder Leslie Kenny and Roundglass founder Sunny Singh opened Oxford Longevity Project’s Annual Smart Ageing Summit* with first results from the Global Longevity Survey. Speaking to journalists, doctors, scientists, and longevity enthusiasts, they commented on the longevity priorities of many nations and especially outliers like Japan and honed in on the importance of mental health in the pursuit of smart ageing. Full Recordings of their talks can be accessed via the Oxford Longevity Project website.

The Global Longevity survey, conducted in April and May 2024, covers attitudes, habits, hopes, and fears towards longevity across 25 markets, including the Blue Zones.
It includes insights into government policy, finances, pensions, and community influences on longevity. The countries covered in the survey were:
The online survey was conducted in 25 markets to 14,000 adults aged 18+. The sample in each market was nationally representative based on interlocking age and gender quotas.
The Oxford Longevity Project is dedicated to demystifying longevity science. We believe the latest research should not only be accessible but also actionable. We aim to bridge this information gap and engage a global community through dynamic discussion. Longevity should not be left to chance; it should be nurtured through informed, science-based decisions that not only extend lifespan but also improve the quality of those additional years.
Our journey began at the "Autophagy & Ageing" symposium in April 2021, organized by co-founders Oxford University Emeritus Professor Denis Noble, Dr. Paul Ch’en, and Leslie Kenny, and hosted by the Interdisciplinary Institute at Balliol College, Oxford University. This symposium featured leading autophagy experts from Osaka University and Oxford University, garnering significant public interest and leading to the creation of the Oxford Longevity Project. This initiative paved the way for our regular webcasts, featuring top scientists and clinicians discussing longevity science breakthroughs and how they could be accessed by clinicians and the public.
The in-person Smart Ageing Summit followed in 2023, offering a unique chance to engage directly with pioneers in longevity science within the historic setting of an Oxford University college. Our second summit in June 2024 at St. Hilda’s College exemplified our commitment to helping clinicians and the public incorporate the latest lab discoveries on longevity in everyday life.
We invite you to join us on this journey towards a healthier, longer life. At the Oxford Longevity Project, we are not merely observers but active participants in shaping the future. Together, let's uncover the science to a longer, healthier life.
